Diana Vasquez (BSc Biology)
Diana is originally from a small community in the south of Honduras. From a young age she was interested in nature, mainly the life in the ocean and this was the motivation that started her on a career in the fascinating world of marine biology gaining her undergraduate degree from the Honduras Autonomous National University (UNAH). During her professional life she has worked with the fisheries department and development agencies but always side by side with fishermen in the fishing communities around the Gulf of Fonseca, developing with them different strategies to sustainably manage the fisheries of the area. Diana started work with the CEM in 2010 as coordinator of the projects of the Pacific coast, now she is the Executive Director.
